How does SkinTyte™ work?

The SkinTyte™ procedure utilizes infrared energy to deeply heat dermal collagen. This process promotes contraction of collagen. The heat also initiates the body's natural healing process, which creates a renewed collagen foundation and leads to increased skin firmness. This restores your skin to its natural beauty, making it smooth and glowing.

What areas can Skin Tyte™ treat?

SkinTyte™ treatments are safe for all skin colors and can be performed on any area of the body. It is most commonly performed on the hands, chest, and shoulders, which are typically the areas most damaged from sun exposure.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required will vary from patient to patient, and Dr. Pritchard can personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire.

How long will it take to recover?

This minimally invasive procedure can be performed during your lunch time with virtually no down-time.

What should I expect after the treatment?

You may experience some mild redness in the treated area immediately after treatment, but this should return to normal within minutes. Since the Skin Tyte procedure is noninvasive and there is no downtime, you can resume your regular activities immediately following treatment. You can even apply makeup and sunscreen immediately after each session.

Will it be uncomfortable?

The procedure is gentle and non-invasive. There should be minimal, if any, discomfort to you. You may feel a warming of the skin, or a "snap" like sensation as the procedure is being performed. These sensations vary from patient to patient depending on the depth of the treatment. If your skin is sensitive, Dr. Pritchard may suggest that a topical anesthetic be applied prior to the beginning of your procedure.

What aftercare will I need?

It is important to follow your physician's instructions. Dr. Pritchard may recommend an at home skin care regimen, if desired. The use of a skin care regimen will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and will ensure the shortest downtime.
